By choosing to Adopt an Animal for your birthday, your gift will be donated to Taronga Zoo - a leading wildlife conservation organisation, focusing on endangered species in Australia and around the world
Taronga is not-for-profit. Every dollar you spend saves wildlife. Through their work they:
Care for animals
Breed endangered species
Protect wildlife through research, education, and habitat conservation programs both locally and globally.
Which Animal will you choose?
With 8 animals to choose from, there is an option to suit everyone! Platypus, Koala, Bilby, Tasmanian Devil, Meerkat, Red Panda, Sumatran Tiger and Asian Elephant—which will you choose?
When you register your party to adopt an animal you will be asked which animal you would like to choose.
A Zoo Parent animal adoption is the gift that saves a species.
If you choose to support Taronga Zoo with your birthday, we will make the adoption donation on your behalf. You will then receive your adoption pack directly from Taronga Zoo. This ensures that you receive any updates and information regarding your adoption, from them throughout the year.
There is a minimum donation amount of $48 for an adoption. Based on how much you receive from contributions, we will pick the right adoption level for you. Each adoption lasts for one year. See below for the breakdown:
